Line of Sight Vietnam is a 2003 Vietnam war oriented squad-based first-person shooter (FPS) video game. The game follows a young sniper in the 5th Special Forces compound in Nha Tong, Vietnam. In Line of Sight: Vietnam you are a sharpshooter in the Army’s Special Forces (better known as “The Green Berets”) at the height of America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. Take out targets under the cover of a detailed 3D environment, including changing weather, booby traps, and thick vegetation. Use over 10 different weapons, including ones dropped by enemy forces. Play cooperative multiplayer games over LAN or the Internet. The multiplayer cannot be played anymore since it was based on GameSpy, that got shut down. Its singleplayer is based on the story of the sniper as the missions develop, although in most of them you have an AI squad mate, which you can order commands, or switch to play the game from its Point of view, and order the sniper AI player. As all line of sight games, you can choose to play from First person or switch to 3rd person view during game. you can aim with sights only in sniper rifles, the rest are shot from hip.
